Crowd Accelerated Innovation

TED's Chris Anderson says the rise of web video is driving a worldwide phenomenon he calls Crowd Accelerated Innovation -- a self-fueling cycle of learning that could be as significant as the invention of print. But to tap into its power, organizations will need to embrace radical openness.

The purpose of SLT in a school is to help teachers grow. SLT's own growth is key - they must be learners themselves. 'The leader's #1priority is to create the setting in which everyone grows.'

Learners learn best when it is developmentally appropriate.

Staff meetings should be meetings about learning.

Leadership is about relationships.

Leaders need more collaboration, distributed intelligence (we are not limited by what's in our skin - there are ways of finding out more), and to focus on EQ (emotional intelligence).
